I got this in my email at work and I thought is was cute and very true.
This week has been much better at work. I have actually been busy 95% of the time. Yesterday I met with someone in the Global Health Division and I am going to start working part time for them. I think it is going to be much more interesting. They are more into science. It will be like I am almost working with my major. It could lead to something more permanent, which I think would be really cool. I am finally enjoying working.

Mornings are less rough. Pete and I fell into a routine that includes us eating breakfast together every morning. The best part is I get chauffeured to work almost every morning. Saving gas money and not having to drive in rush hour are definite perks.

Nights are a little crazy, but thanks to DVR, I havent missed a show yet. I was a little disappointed in the first Gilmore Girls. Hopefully they will get better over the season. Other than that the fall lineup is looking pretty good.

Tonight the new bishop in our diocese is saying Mass. Pete is playing at it and I am going. It should be interesting.

Thats about it for now.

I finished the project they gave me already and I was told just to keep busy. Kinda hard to do. I feel weird just sitting here. I feel like I should be doing something or else someone will notice and get rid of me. I have read a ton of people's blogs and played Solitaire. Hopefully there is something for me to do this afternoon or it is going to be a long time til 5 gets here.

I have found out I am pretty much useless when I get home from work. Hopefully it is just this week and me adjusting to getting up early. I have gotten better. Every day I have gotten up a little earlier and this morning I was up at 5:50 and was able to walk the dog with Pete and we left early to drop his car off to be serviced. I have had this list of things to do all week and I haven't yet. (KA: I have your b-day card, it just hasn't gotten in the mail yet, but it is coming. I promise)

Last night was a very good night for TV. The new Office was on and it was hilarious. A little politically incorrect, but that is to be expected. I was a little disappointed that Jim and Pam werent together, but there is hope cuz she called off the wedding. After the Office was the new Grey's. I am so glad that it is back on the air. I missed them. I am glad that McDreamy finally told Meredith that he loved her. I hope that they get together. I feel bad for Callie. All she wants is for George to love her. I think she describe them best when she said they were all 17 years old mentally. I cant wait for next week.

I am looking foward to the weekend and doing nothing, except for the massive pile of laundry in the closet.

Apologies...

for not updating on the new job sooner. So far it is a little boring. I spent the first two crawling around on the floor, but was finally able to use a computer on Wednesday. I have been having much fun with data entry and reading the internet. I am addicted to reading blogs, so its been fun to find new ones and read all thier archives. Of all the blogs I read I only know 2 of the people. The boring level has started to go down a little bit, but is still pretty high. I am starting to be glad this is only a two month position.

Of course, the first day something had to go wrong. I lost my access card. Only hours old and it was gone. I dreaded coming in Tuesday morning and telling the person I report to. Thankfully I was able to play it off with humor.

Last night, Zora and I drove back out to the Park and watched Pete play Frisbee. Well kinda watched. I called his mom to talk for a bit and then Zora got interested in something and started pulling me around. We walked around the fields for a while and I took her down the slide at the playground and then I played on the swings. Zora got really excited that I was swinging and started jumping around and barking. She kept running toward me and got clocked in the head a few times, but still kept coming back for more. In the end, I tied her up so she couldnt get near me.

My lunch is almost over, so I should get back to work. More later.

I got a job!!

Finally! I start next Monday. It is at RTI, Research Triangle Institute. I will be working in the International Development group as an administrative assistant. It sounds like it will be interesting. They do work all over the world. Right now it is only for a couple of months, but it might go permanent. One definite perk is that IBM is right across the street so Pete and I will be able to carpool most days. Saving money is always a perk. A job for me means a house and new car sooner. A very happy day!

Jocie's wedding

After raining all weekend, it cleared up 3 hours before the wedding started. It was sunny with blue skies. The ceremony was in the gazebo overlooking the lake.

The reception was gorgeous. The room was alot like ours with windows all along one wall overlooking the view. There was open bar and the food was great. My BIL and I were going drink for drink. The bartender had the drinks ready by the time we got to the bar. I like not even having to order. We saw all the relatives from that side. It has only been a couple months but it was good to see them.
Jocie and Kris the newlyweds.

Nicki and Paulo, the soon to be newlyweds.

It was a great time.

We are at my in laws this weekend for a wedding. We left NC right after Ernesto came through and then caught him again here. We are just seeing the sun for the first time in days. Thank goodness though it is clearing up in time for the wedding this afternoon. We spent the morning at our photographers designing our wedding album. I thought I went in all organized and knowing what I wanted. That all changed, but I think it will come out nice. I liked being able to make collages and such. I have to shower and get ready for this afternoon. More on the wedding later.
