One Year

It is hard to believe that yesterday was our one year anniversary.  This past year has flown by.

This past weekend was pretty low key.  We didn't have any big plans, which was fine with me.  Saturday morning, Pete got up early and dug a trench in the backyard to run some drainage.  He woke me up to introduce me to the turtle that Zora tried to eat.  It was a cute little thing that Zora dug out of the yard.  She just wanted a new friend.  After we freed the turtle from Zora's mouth, Pete set it free in the woods behind the house.  For an anniversary gift, Pete wanted me to clean the house.  Since I was going to do it anyways, it worked.  I slowly got to cleaning while Pete finished with the yard.  He took the dog on an errand.  I thought he was going to get grass seed and top soil, but he came home with neither.  He got a new monitor for the upstairs computer. I love it because it will make watching movies while working out much easier.  A gift that makes us both happy.

Saturday night, we went to church and then out to dinner at Maggiano's.  For old time sake, we took Zora rabbit hunting when we got home.  She enjoys it and since we are usually drunk when doing it, we enjoy it too.

Sunday, I made breakfast in bed.  Cereal.  :-)  That is what Pete wanted, so Pete, Zora and I lounged in bed and had breakfast.  Zora had her own box of cereal.  She loved it.  After we went to see Evan Almighty.  Sunday mornings are the best time to go to the movies.  Everyone is still in church.  Saturday night masses let us have the best of both worlds.  We then grocery shopped and then just relaxed the rest of the day.  I made chicken marsala for dinner, since that was one of the dinners from our wedding reception.  I think it turned out pretty good, I thought.

We went traditional for anniversary gifts.  The first year is paper, so I got Pete 2 books that he wanted and he bought me bookcases, which hold paper.

Other than this weekend, things have been good.  Work is crazy, which is why haven't updated.  There is no time at work and by the time I get home, I want nothing to do with computers anymore.  I have tons of work to do, which is good, though I could use a few extra house a week.  They ordered me a laptop, which means I could hopefully do some work from home.

I need to get back to work.  Lot to do before I can go home.
