Whoops!

I didn't even realize it had been so long since I had last posted.  Pete and Jesse had to remind me I had a blog. 

Nothing really new has been going on here.  Work, sleep, walk Zora.

My mom came for a visit last week.  I felt bad for her.  The first day she gets here, the Honda died and had to go into the shop.  We had to use Big Blue the rest of the week.  It was very hot and Big Blue has no air conditioning.  On the way to dinner Tuesday night, we almost go killed too.  We were at the traffic circle in our subdivision and a car coming into the circle didn't stop and almost slammed into the side of the car.  People here don't know how to drive rotaries.  It is kinda annoying.

Overall though my Mom's visit was good.  We shopped a lot.  She picked out pictures for the master bathroom and helped me pick some colors for the house.  It had been awhile since I had seen her, so it was good to visit. 

This week, we have been getting painting estimates for the inside of the house.  The paint job that is there now is not very good.  You can wipe your hand on the wall and some of the paint comes off.  Also, the previous owner patched holes with a different color paint.  We are planning on keeping basically the same colors.  A little darker taupe in the bedrooms and a green color is in discussion for the kitchen.  Once we paint, we can start thinking about furniture.  I found a dining room set that I loved when my Mom was here, but we need to wait what the painting costs are.   I am learning patience with the decorating process.  I am not always good at patience.  Actually I suck at it, but I am trying to get better. 

Congrats to Kat for her new baby boy.  Pete and I are excited to meet our new godson.

We have finally laid to rest Zora's favorite toy.  It was a gift I received at my bachelorette party.  Those there know what I am talking about.  She finally put a whole in the tip and I was sick of picking up white fuzz up from around the house.

I am writing this during a meeting, so I should probably get back to work.
